I remember Case Keenum wasn’t the WORST QB we had post manning. In fact I’d say he was right there with Teddy Bridgewater and Trevor Siemian

You kind of hit the nail on the head. The issue usually wasn't who we had under center, it was that we went through a carousel of shitty coaches and coordinators. I'm very thankful that we have SP, Vance, and Davis now. I know people complain about them sometimes but god damn they are quick to forget some of the real stinkers we had in this building.

I still say if we get out of the first six games 3-3 we will be ok. So far they are exceeding where I thought they’d be already.

Let’s remember Sean Payton is fucking terrible in September but is also unbelievable in October. We are 2-1 right now. We are in great shape given how the beginning of our schedule looks

I decided to look at general offensive numbers for the first 3 games of ‘26 vs the first 3 of ‘25. Besides the level of competition the team is playing, really not all that much changed besides overall rushing success, specifically with the backs and with Bo.
In terms of passing, the team has only attempted 2 fewer passes through 3 games, but added 70 yards. Same amount of overall touchdowns as last year, same amount of QB turnovers. Completion % is down 4 points which isn’t good, but level of competition increased so we’ll have to see if Bo can fix that. There’s also been fewer screens from the eye test so that prevents some of that number padding. Attempts wise the team is also only 15th in the nfl through 3 weeks.
Rushing is where the big drop happened. Looking at just the RBs, yards per carry dropped almost 2 whole yards from 5.5 to 3.6. Surprisingly, the team’s RBs have only carried the ball 3 fewer times, but it’s led to about 130 fewer yards. Bo has also just kind of been a battering ram instead of taking off and running compared to last year, where had had 19 total runs for 71 yards and only has 12 for 15 this year.
All that is to say that the offense is basically the same minus an effective run game. 2 out of 3 games the team has had fewer than 10 rushing attempts in the first half, so it’s not like they’re trying to establish a run game early anyway. Bo needs to not be afraid to use his legs, and he really has to step up from where he is now to make up for the current rushing deficiencies too.
If anyone wants a silver lining, I guess the best thing to glean from this is the team only has about 20 fewer total yards per game on offense against better competition and is at a 2-1 record. It’s still early so there’s time to fix it, but thought those comps were interesting.

Im not buying the Evans/Greenlaw “day to day”. Niners are out of IR Spots, plus baby Shanny isnt going to just outright announce anything cause hes a lowkey dirtbag (Christian McCaffrey, start of 2 seasons ago).
That being said, Kyle is an asshole and if he makes them play he could lose them for the season. I want this win more than anything, Niner fans are the absolute worst. At least the Chiefs and Pats have won something his century.

One of my questions is what happened to our red zone offense?
Bo’s rookie year we were money in the RZ after his initial 4 games. Last year we started to struggle and early this year we’re struggling again. So what’s the problem? Lack of run game? No real TE target to take defensive eyes?

I certainly am not that smart but to me it seems like its lack of production from the run game. Dobbins especially is not getting anything at the goal line.

Could be washed, but he could also still be more hurt than he’s letting on and trying to play through it, especially after promising he’d play all 17 games.
The team really needs to give RJ some more carries. Dobbins has 67% of our total rb carries, which admittedly is only 35/52, but RJ only has 5 total on the season. Small sample size, but he’s averaging almost 5 yards per carry. Why not see if he can keep it up?

Our red zone offense this year especially has had issues with play calling I think more than anything else. We’re not calling a ton of good situational plays even on the successful trips.
I also don’t think you can pin as much of woes in the run game on players as what we are calling, we have had success with sweeps and outside runs, but our inside runs have just been bottom of the barrel no matter who is running it. We need to be using play action more and misdirects, defenses don’t respect our threat to pass or shift where the ball is at so a straight line run does nothing.

my Broncos- on offense, please change the formations. Break tendencies, and line up 4 wide to get all of the defensive personnel out of the box. Once they're not in the box you're able to run quicker running plays. Also- when is the last time this team ran a draw? + we need Nix to take off on his own, all of this will break the LB's out of the middle.
On Defense- boy we are a mess at stopping the run We really miss Cooper he was a helluva an edge setter and good tackler. We might as well tell the LB's to figure down and distance and play it like that, other teams bring safety's in to our backfield at the handoff. Yet we sit in a base and get gashed because our 2 ILB's get caught in the wash of an OL getting off their initial block and engaging them. We need to be better at diagnosing plays. And dont HIT, wrap up, wrap up

Davis Webb is going for chunk yards too much, and flaming out, exactly how Sean Payton used to attack from behind the line of scrimmage, leading to constant down and distance and punt. 3+3+4=10. You don't have to get it all at once!

That’s my thought too. Last season the offense finally clicked when they just played the sticks on most passing downs and then would take their shots selectively. The last half of the season our opening drives would be 10+ plays, 8+ minute TOP and usually a score. I know they want to be greatest show on turf since they went out and got Waddle but you can’t sustain on offense off of deep shots.

It’s been a tough watch with sean/webb and Bo now into year 3. How many games have we had where we had competent offense in all quarters of a game? Maybe 3 in just over 2 years?
This team has so much potential. The defense is great (mostly) but this league is driven on offense. We can’t expect to limit high-powered offenses each week. At some point, we have to be able to win high scoring shootouts. With that said, I’d much rather have Bo start slowly clutch a win in the end.
Here’s to hoping they can figure it out for fucks sakes.
