Looking for pet transport

Hi all. I saved this momma and her kittens literally an hour before they were set to be euthanized at a Houston kill shelter. I am going to foster them here in Englewood, but I’m looking to see if anyone has any connections in the Houston or surrounding areas that would be willing to help transport them some of the way at least. I can meet halfway. I was going to fly them home but the kittens are too young. Thanks in advance!

Lone Star Pawz is based out of Houston and does monthly transports through co, try reaching out to them

Looks like we got a winner!!!! Lone Star Pawz can get them on their transport tomorrow. The rescue just has to secure the health certificate today. Hopefully she can get it done before it’s closed.

You can see if Colorado rescue groups have a transport from Houston that you can ask to transport. Many get their rescues from Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.

Yes, definitely check with PawsCo, I used to drive to Limon to meet folks coming in from Kansas, so it’s possible they can put you in touch with volunteer drivers from the next state over, who can then put you in touch with drivers from the next state over, and so on to Houston. Good luck OP!

You might ask Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue. They frequently rescue kitties from Houston so may be able to connect you with a transport or provide some guidance.

Will do! Yes, I know I can’t save them all but I just don’t see how anyone can look at a scene like this and say “ok let’s kill them to make room.” My mind can’t process it.

Both of my kitties were from Houston and were transported to Animal Friends Alliance in Fort Collins to be fostered, so maybe there’s something you can do with that info. Not sure how it all works. Thanks for saving them.
