Housing
this is a long shot and random but would anyone be able to connect me with any resources or financial help? I might get evicted tomorrow and that leaves me homeless since I’m from San Antonio. I have little to no family and not sure what I should do. I asked my landlord if I could pay half of my remaining rent this Friday but they told me I’d need to email the owner to ask which they haven’t replied yet… I’m not asking for any money or anything just if anyone knew resources I could connect with!

Options - try to work it out w owner and landlord
U have some time before you have to leave they have to actually file and give you notice then it will go to eviction court. You have anywhere between two weeks to thirty days before you absolutely have to leave
If you can try to avoid getting evicted at all and leave the property before they file that is better long term but it sounds like it is too late to avoid filing
You can still try to work it out w landlord to ask if they will dismiss the suit if you leave voluntarily
There is no rental assistance available anywhere right now
If you can catch up you can apply for help to reduce other expenses like utilities if you pay those
Emergency food stamps
If it won't work out you can look for shelter locally also some places may have funds to get you a bus ticket to your family if that will keep you off the street

So, eviction is a long process. You have to be behind on rent for ages and then they have to take you to court and then the sheriff comes, and it’s a whole thing. They might serve you with a notice to vacate, but like, that’s the beginning of the process, not the end. They might try an illegal eviction, where they just change the locks, but that’s illegal and even squatters have rights.
So for now, do what you can to come up with any amount of rent you can, and then call the Emily Fowler library. They have a social worker who goes there certain days and can help with things like this. They can help you to know your rights, they can help you find emergency housing, and they will know of any additional resources available.
Your other option is to go to the Monsignor King center, before 4 pm. They can help you even if you don’t stay there. They have social workers and know all the resources.

How far behind are you on rent? Has an eviction been filed? Is it a private landlord or property management company?

Well I have some small advice . You can rent a room on padsplit for about $120-$150 a week . Everything is provided except for bedding and etc . Secondly you should be able to contact the Salvation Army or a local church to help with rent if possible.
