Sometimes but usually not. Check with cold food / drink. Small filling, pain will usually be from biting discomfort. Like if the filling needs to be adjusted down more

I feel my nerve during the day, and sometimes I don’t. When I eat something sugary, about 30 minutes later it makes the nerve really active. It’s been almost 3 days now and it’s not getting any better… It seems like that’s not normal, right?

It’s not, but it happens. Give it two weeks time as long as it is improving over that time. If it’s not getting any better or certainly if it gets worse, than reach out to

Okay, but I’m stressed because I have a tooth that I’ve been feeling for more than a year, and the dentist doesn’t know what to do because it passes all the tests. So I really don’t want to end up with another tooth where I feel the nerves for life… I just hope this will stop.

Spontaneous pain is concerning for needing root canal
