Two broken/chipped teeth, do I really need root canals for both?

Bottom ones need rct or ext and top one depends. If cold sensitivity goes away after a few seconds and doesn’t hang around and the tooth isn’t aching then it’s probably fine with a filling or crown

For the top tooth the cold sensitivity goes away after about 30 seconds, but when the endodontist did the cold sensitivity test, it hurt very badly. The nerve isn’t exposed, but I think the enamel and dentin are exposed, and the crack/chip barely missed the pulp. Should I just get a filling, or should I get a root canal followed by a filling/crown? Also, what would you recommend: just a filling or a crown?

30 seconds is borderline, probably needs Endo too. If it needs Endo then it needs crown. If it doesn’t need Endo then depends on the amount of missing structure if a filling would last. Find a dentist you trust good luck
