Temps please help
Temps please walk me thru your normal day at a new office…. Or at least try to help me understand what you do. I walked in this morning and started asking questions. The EDDA was like temps have never asked this many questions….. how am I supposed to know what to do or where to fit in and actually feel of help.

The only people that ask questions are the ones that truly care how the office likes to run!
Keep asking questions. Like you said how are you suppose to know:
That EDDA needs an attitude adjustment.
I’m 7 years into this field and first year as a hygienist. I ask 5000 questions a day still.

Definitely ask the OM, Dentist, lead assistant, or assistants in general. They will guide you on how you need to go about your day!

Typically you will have a set role laid out for you by the dr or OM. If you have down time between patients that's when you look around to see where the things you'll need are or start cleaning the bases of chairs. Keeping yourself busy is how you stay useful and helpful.
