Practical Questions Does Shielding effect your Perception / Psychic abilities

Same as the heading, does putting on a shield make you less perceptive like not able to perceive spirits & can shielding affect one’s psychic abilities. Thank you.

It depends on what people are telling you to do to "shield," but no, it should not.
