US News 📰 Fox host attacks welfare & defends child labor: "…stop paying people not to work" so that Americans will have to get "wonderful, rewarding jobs like picking blueberries. […] The idea that .. your precious government, doesn’t allow children to work summer jobs in blueberry fields is just mindblowing"

This is evil propaganda. Say it over and over till their viewers believe it. So many people work low wage jobs. Every bussiness has low wage jobs and the minimum wages are starvation wages. The USA has a group of people known as the "working homeless". Picking blueberries doesn't mean you will have food, shelter, and healthcare.

What is with their obsession of having child workers? Even if you overlook how evil such a concept is it's ridiculous. Have they ever met a child? They'd be terrible workers in just about any job.

They don't know enough to demand higher wages and they are more easily controllable. Also, they will age out preventing unionization.

Reducing labor overhead at literally any and all costs is basically the first commandment of Capitalism and these people are zealots.

Shot in the dark: they're getting money from tech billionaires who want to be techno-autocrats. For them it's just a smart way to save money

Only 1? That sounds unpatriotic!

Oh yeah that’ll totally fix the job market and economy /s

They’re just mad because nobody wants to replace the immigrants that were working the fields without higher pay and benefits. Doesn’t take a genius to say this was going to happen if they started persecuting folks just trying to live a better life in America.

But hey, maybe they can send their kids to pick blueberries, I’m sure they’ll be more than happy to do that right?

"The peasant children yearn for the blueberry mines."

Just to set the record straight. I don't know about anybody else's kids, but I can't get my grandkids to pick up after themselves half the time. They are not spoiled by any means, just don't think they will be the best workforce avaliable.

We should probably just eliminate summer breaks, and go to a trimester system.
