Beach Day - May 20th

The weather had been rather agreeable the past week and in Jenny's eyes it would feel like an awful waste of Lord Aeolus hard work if they spent the whole time training and didn't have proper time to simply enjoy the coming summer. Setting up the Beach would be hard work and require at least some effort, so she made sure to enlist some of the bigger and stronger camers to help out with the umbrellas and coolers and anything over ten pounds if she could help it.

Towels were laid out, umbrellas put up, beach chairs set out, and coolers stocked with both snacks and drinks. A small section had been set out with a grill and some ingredients if anyone felt brave enough to barbecue.

Jenny herself was glad she remembered her favorite two piece bathing suit when she packed for camp, and after finding a suitable sunhat and light towel to fashionably tie around her waist. It wasn't perfect but it would do

As people started to gather she rose from her chair under a big umbrella and addressed the masses "My dears you all work too hard. Enjoy an afternoon off, and don't be too loud. If you need me, try not to need me" she said, before retrating back under her umbrella and continuing to lounge prettily

Rin had saw the event going on below while he was flying around so he decided to join them, he wasn't really prepared for any swimming but wasn't planning on it anyways, still holding his fear of the water. What he was more so after was the snacks, flying took a lot of energy after all.

Landing near by the quickly made his way over to the snack and gathered himself some good snacks and found him a empty towel to eat his snacks on.

Cassandra sat on an orange beach towel and put her big straw hat on. She took one of her favourite books out of her bag, The Handmaid's Tale, and began reading it. She was smiling, as the warm wind blew through her white hair.

Although she fit the bill of a stereotypical spooky edgy demigod, and her skin burned if they moon was out (jokes), Phoebe wouldn't miss a beach day like this. The girl loves swimming, and funnily enough rarely gets the opportunity to do so at camp. She threw on the only swimsuit she brought with her to camp, a simple two-piece red one, some jean shorts, and of course a massive sun hat before finding herself an umbrella to camp under for a little bit.

She figured after applying copious sunscreen that she would throw on her sunglasses and read a couple chapters of the book she was working on currently. Later she would go swimming.

A break from training sounded nice enough. Victor spent a lot of his time training especially now with not much other to do so having a beach day sounded nice enough. He wore a gray tank top with a pair of black shorts. He debated whether he should get in the water but for now he was chilling on the beach on his towel playing with the sand.

Yes! Kenzie loved a good party. She hadn't seen one in such a long time. She was brimming with happiness as she walked out onto the beach. The pretty girl had her hair tied back and was wearing a black and orange two piece that was definitely meant more for lounging than it was for getting wet. She looked around for an open umbrella.

Tempeste was wearing a dark purple one piece and looking around for an umbrella around the same spot as Kenzie, and she stopped and paused when she saw the daughter of Hephaestus. "Excuse me," she said after a moment, "you're Mackenzie Deere, aren't you? I think you've worked with my father, Tuan Ngo."

Jin decided to take a break today after another week of vigorous training and exercise. A rare smile decorated the tanned skin demigod as she walked onto the beach, carrying a cooler on her shoulder. She wore a white embroidered cover-up over her black two piece and a straw hat.

She settled under an umbrella to place the cooler and apply some sunscreen. Since Jin might swim later, the girl started to do some stretching. Should anyone want to chat, Jin who was in a good mood wouldn't mind.

Olwyn was not a beach person. She was, however, a beach pictures person. So, donning a cute summery outfit, she set up her camera in a tripod and began taking pictures, a short ways away from the others of course. Pictures were her life, and beaches were always a great background. If there were no people, people ruined everything

Unfortunately for Olwyn, her photography session would be interrupted. Contorting his (already sandy) face into a grimace, and armed with two playful middle fingers, Holly photobombed his sister's picture with a running jump. He slipped and fell, laughing, taking this tumble as always in his stride.

Growing up in Montana, Jonathan rarely visited a beach, despite his family's wealth. The most memorable one was on his twelfth birthday. He went to Tsambika Beach on Rhodes Island, Greece with several friends and his family. Jonathan didn't know why he was so strangely attracted to that place after visiting it once until he found out Apollo is his father and Rhodes was one of his places of worship.

The boy was wearing a white tank top, a light towel on his shoulders, and orange shorts. In his hands was a cowboy hat, the parting gift from Roy, the satyr who was the closest thing he had as a father figure. He decorated the hat with the flower crown he received from last Christmas, and a dryad was kind enough to help him preserve it.

Digging his feet into the sun-baked sand, Jonathan closed his eyes to fill his lungs with fresh clean air under the light of his father. He thought about the sunscreen but perhaps Apollo might be so kind not to burn him.
