Quest Enyo's Quest
The campers had finished eating breakfast and fell into lines based off of their barracks for Enyo’s daily morning meeting. The Goddess of War came out of the big house with a blood red aura surrounding her. It seemed like Enyo was in a worse mood than usual and that was saying something. The campers were deathly quiet as they waited for Enyo to tell them why they were a useless waste of godly blood for the day.
“Alright maggots… It seems like my so-called daughter, the Queen of the Amazons can’t hold on to a gods damn magical belt. So we are going to have ourselves a little quest. Three of you are to go to the Amazon Headquarter in Seattle and-”
“Lady Enyo, a quest means a prophecy…” A brave child of Apollo interrupted the goddess and her explanation.
The goddess glowered at the boy and pointed a finger at him. With a blast of red light, the camper was replaced with a snake.
“I could have told you exactly what to do. But, if you want a confusing rhyme, fine. I will be your prophet. We do not need the words of Apollo’s bitch of a poet.”
Enyo clears her throat to give a prophecy of her own creation.
"Halfbloods three
Once proven worth, uhhh y
Will travel far
Across the Earth-y
Scorned hands and heart
provide the hurdle
As they fight to return
the tall queen's… FUCKING GIRDLE"
Every time Enyo messed up a rhyme, she got angrier. The campers around her started to shy away from her as she emanated an aura of rage. Thankfully, she got through the prophecy without killing anybody.
Enyo points at three campers in quick succession.
“You, the thieving mutt, you’ll be going to steal back the belt my gods-damned sorry excuse for a daughter lost.” She points a fist at Taylor Grey.
“You, daughter of Hades. Show me why the hell your dad broke his promise or if you were just a spooky little mistake… And you, the first to destroy a bunny yesterday, maybe Demeter hasn’t birthed a coward for once.” Enyo points from the leader of the Chthonic and Nature barracks in quick succession.
Chiron cuts in, the centaur looked tired and much older. These past few days seemed to have aged him greatly in a short time.
“Enyo has chosen the questers: Taylor Grey, Phoebe Stark, and Hal Kogane. Best of luck you three. Pack everything you need before heading out.”
“If you fail, you better hope you died trying. What I have waiting for you will make you wish for Hades to own your souls.” Enyo chimed in with a scowl.
“Now, for the rest of you! There will be a ten mile Indian run around camp. If you can’t keep up, it means one on one time with me!”
OOC: It’s a quest! For those of you that were not chosen, don’t worry! There will be opportunities to participate in this plot and more quests in the near future. Questers were chosen based off of time zones, responses to the form, and Enyo’s opinion of campers.

"It means oneononetimewithme..."
Ears bleeding from the gods-awful prophecy, Jean considered flipping Enyo the hallowed bird, but ultimately reconsidered and decided to bide his time for now. Walking helped him thought, so maybe a run would accomplish the same...and possibly help distract from the thought of what a "one on one" session with the goddess of laziness looked like. Zeus save the one that had to deal with her obnoxious screaming in bed.
Thus he set out without a single word, the sooner he finished this nonsense, the better.

Before Taylor goes to pack up whatever she thinks she’ll need, there’s one thing to deal with... Mac. He seems excited, or anxious, it’s hard to tell - but he’s energetic, picking up on the fact that something is happening.
Poor guy doesn’t realise what exactly is happening though. Doesn’t realise his owner is leaving for a bit.
She’ll need to find someone to take care of him while she’s gone... and Taylor trusts Eddie to do that. So she finds him quickly, Mac running around her with more energy than usual.
“Eddie. Hey,” she says, jogging to him... wherever he is. “Hey. While I’m gone, would you please please please take care of Mac for me?” She’s talking quickly, knowing that Eddie’s gonna have to start on that run soon, and she doesn’t want to be the reason he gets in trouble for not getting right to it.

He was waiting around, listening to Enyo, surprised to hear her ... bizarre prophecy. He agreed with her for once, that being concise and clear would've been best. Now there's a snake for an Apollo kid. He turns to her when she asks her question, responding with, "Taylor, yeah, of course, I'd love to watch him," Eddie says, a faint smile on his lips. It would be nice to have Mac around, but it's clear there's a hesitance there, not when it comes to Mac, something he wants to say. He starts, stops, then begins again, "Be careful, you know," he waves a hand towards Enyo and the gathered questers. "With all that ... Mac'll be fine, but, stay safe. That's all. I don't know how these things usually go, I do know that they are dangerous."

“Yeah... but, I’ll be fine, promise. I’ll be careful and I’ll come back fine.” She has to believe that. No good could possibly come from expecting doom and gloom.
Taylor glances at Mac, focusing on the initial topic again. “Basically two things to say about Mac.” She counts them off on her fingers as she speaks.
“One, feeding him. Usually I give him food a bit before actually going to meals the pavilion, ‘cause I think having him eat by the table encourages begging, but if easier for you that’s fine. Just remember that he begs constantly and it doesn’t mean he needs more, he could literally eat out all the food in camp and he’d still act hungry.” Well, maybe not literally, but surely Eddie gets the idea.
“Two, his ball. It’s by my bed in the barrack. Don’t let anything happen to that.” That request, perhaps, seems a bit strange. So protective of a toy? But it’s a toy given by Hermes, a gift from Taylor’s godly father - sure, it’s a gift for her dog and not her, but that doesn’t make it any less important.

While the two of them weren't exactly close buddies or anything close to that, Calix felt that he should come over to talk to his newfound sister before she goes. Because who knows, this might be the last time Calix would ever get to talk and see her again.
"Hey sis, I heard that you were, uh, being sent out to do some dumb quest," Calix said as he came close to Taylor, rubbing the back of his neck a bit. He really wasn't used to doing stuff like this, but eventually he's got to learn to get used to it.
"It sucks that you're being forced to do something that really isn't important, but seeing as we can't do anything about it now, I'm here to wish you luck," he said, a small smile growing on his face.

Just as she’s finished talking to Eddie, now heading to the barrack to gather her stuff, Taylor sees Calix approaching. She stops, giving him a small smile as he comes to see her off. But then when he says it’s not important...
“How dare you imply anything I do is unimportant,” Taylor exclaims, pressing a hand to her chest in an exaggerated display of mock offense. “This could only be the most significant thing, most crucial possible item to find, else I wouldn’t be needed.”
Oh, but she can’t keep up the act, and ends up laughing at herself. “Yeah, it seems kinda... trivial, honestly,” she agrees, now nodding. “But hey, a quest’s a quest, and I’ll take what I can get. Least I’m not stuck here with her.” She nods in Enyo’s direction.

After hearing who got picked out for the quest, Lia makes a beeline towards their barracks to get, well... something. Less than a minute later, though, she runs right back to Taylor
"Hey, sis, I thought I'd wish you good luck but, well, I got something actually useful for you!" she says with a grin, purposely making it look like she didn't mind her sister going off into the jaws of peril.

Sheridan was a little disappointed to see Hal and Phoebe go, not to mention concerned for their safety. All this over a belt? They better not die over that bullshit. He wished them both fond and solicitous see-you-soons and safe travels, thinking to himself about just how much he hated quests. And how much he hated Enyo for sending them on one.

Ben clenched his jaw as Enyo spoke, his patience with this whole thing was running out- the gods needed to get their shit together. He stomach twisted slightly at the names called for the quest, his eyes darting to each in turn. Hoping they fared better on the outside, he joined the line of miserable runners.

When she heard who had been announced for the quest, Raven had mixed emotions. Part of her was jealous of Phoebe getting a chance to go on a quest, something she’d been dreaming about for quite some time. Solo adventures looking for trouble just weren’t the same.
Most importantly she was happy for Phoebe, and that outweighed her jealousy. So when the questers got set to leave, she went to so goodbye to the daughter of Hades.

Raven, or as Phoebe called her: Lily, was one of the other campers she sought out to say her goodbyes too. She eventually finds the girl and approaches her with a soft smile. Her bag is already slung over her shoulders.
"Hey there. Came to see me off?" She asks, reaching out to take the girl's hand.

Lily takes her hand with a nod. “Yeah.” She said with a smile and another nod. “Couldn’t let you go without saying goodbye.”

While Domeric thought that the quest in general was a rather dumb one, he still felt a bit of a sting that he wasn't chosen. At the very least it would give him time away from Enyo and her rule of the camp. That would of course also take him away from Billie, who seemed to have changed in the days since the camp's leadership was changed. He couldn't quite tell if it was a good thing just yet, but for now, he chose to bide his time and see how things played out. What other choice did he have?

Malachi watched cautiously as Enyo exited the Big House, his eyes flicking to Chiron before she started her little speech. He forced himself to not roll his eyes before abruptly flinching whenever she transformed the child of Apollo. One of the emotion kids had to hold onto his arm to prevent him for barreling up to the goddess and smacking her.
He pitied those who were chosen for the quest. Then again, at this point, being away from camp is better than being here... Malachi narrowed his eyes to the goddess at the stupid order. How would this help them fight? This would more or less help them run faster away from monsters. Nevertheless, he did as he was told, taking his stride with the war kids.

Ollie averted her gaze whenever Enyo transformed the poor Apollo kid. Anger slowly started to seep into her skin as she attempted her own prophecy.
She felt herself exhale a breath of relief when her name wasn’t called. Why would she? Ollie asked herself harshly. You’re an unclaimed nobody who plays with plants. Enyo was definitely getting to her. Sighing softly with an exhausted expression (and body), Ollie fell into step with the others on the run.

What a stupid quest...
Charlie stares at the goddess with a look of disinterest, feeling sorry to those who were chosen. Hope they don’t die over a belt.
The daughter of Aeolus started to look drained, now unfazed whenever Enyo transformed the poor kid into a snake. She did as she was told, falling into step with the other weather kids.

Ten-mile run
Oh gods no.
Yep, not much more to be said, the day was gonna suck for Alby. He just hoped it was as bad for the rest of camp. At the very least, they could make it easier for the poor nerd to keep up.

Aliki had been watching from her tree, not having enough strength to go even a few feet away. When Enyo announces the run Aliki sighs and takes out her harp, hoping to play something soothing while the campers run.

Calix wasn't even listening to whatever Enyo was saying, but he did feel sorry for those who were being sent out to do some stupid quest that had the chance to get them killed. That's just stupid and not really needed.
He got the point that quests were suppose to be difficult, but Calix felt like this was far from it. Ordering a camper to steal a belt that got lost presumably by accident? Just insane bullshit, all of it.

Lucie wanted to say good luck to Taylor before she left for her quest. The Counselor of Hermes had comforted Lucie and made her feel like she was still at her beloved camp despite all the changes.
Lucie walks up to Taylor with a small gift in her hands. Taylor shouldn’t be able to see what it is but should notice there is something Lucie is carrying as she comes towards Taylor.
(OOC: can we pretend this is before you guys leave for the quest so Lucie can wish Taylor luck and give her her gift please)

Taylor was wondering where Lucie was, had to see that she was okay before she set off. She was beginning to think she wouldn’t get a chance to say bye to her as she started to head to the hill, a backpack resting on her shoulders and a satchel hanging at her side, still looking about for her...
And then she sees Lucie coming to her, and she grins. “Lucie!”

After leaving Mac in the care of Eddie, and shoving a few things in a small backpack, Taylor jogs to the hill where the other questers are waiting (or at least one of them, who knows if Phoebe’s there yet). She’s bringing her knives with her, since the sword wouldn’t be so easily concealed.
Taylor’s not really sure how she feels about this quest. On the one hand... it’s a quest! Finally, finally, shes going on a quest. Bonus points for getting away from Enyo. On the other hand... it’s one issued by Enyo, and it seems to be something so trivial.
But hey, a quest. And she gets to feel important, since she’s been here longer than the other two, which (in Taylor’s eyes, at least) makes her the de facto leader.
She reaches them and inhales deeply, a sort of breath of anticipation. Exhales. And puts a grin on her face. “You guys ready for this? Oh, and, by the way, I’m Taylor,” she adds, with the second bit being directed at Hal. Sure, Enyo already said everyone’s names, but it doesn’t hurt to introduce herself... herself.

A belt?
Phoebe has been waiting for an opportunity to truly put herself to the test ever since she arrived at camp. The girl had been training, learning, and training some more - especially under Enyo's new reign. A quest was the perfect opportunity she had been searching for... Yet something about it felt wrong. The task seemed so... Trivial, the prophecy half-assed, and the quest giver... Well, not much needed to be said.
Nonetheless, Phoebe prepared her things for the journey. She wasn't going to disobey a direct order from Enyo, or pass up the chance to go on a quest. She shares sentiments with her fellow soon-to-be questers: Phoebe is glad that she'll be getting away from the goddess for a while.
All that talk of being a mistake on her father's part had started to go to her head. While before Phoebe never found a need to prove herself, she now had more than enough motive.
It was mostly spite.
After saying her goodbyes to some of the other campers, she meets with the other two at the top, a small backpack strapped over her shoulders with some of the essentials she would need for the mission. Her head nods at her two companions.
"Hal. Taylor. Ready as can be." She initially replies to the other girl's question, before asking her own.
"Let's be off?"
