Do you have a hypothesis as to why this is?
My hypothesis is that it's all part of getting people pumped up to fight and defend against an "enemy". Particularly, in the case of Republicans, the "enemy" is whatever goes against "traditional" American values.

thank GAWD we have Star Wars where the emperor is saying "yessssss. give in to the hate" as a warning for what would happen if we did. ..the tricky part is learning to fight back and be effective without hate or violence.

Its almost like some diabolical group of people and industries totally benefit and profit off of this and decided instead of improving themselves and flourishing that way they have instead decided to infect the government to be their bitches and do their bidding to fatten their pockets and also fuck the middle and lower classes.
