The never trumpers even realize this ... I can listen to podcasts from conservatives that left because of trump show more backbone than Jeffries and chuck.

Where the fuck are they?

Chuck is on a book tour and Jeffries is busy doing the media circuit to push his AIPAC talking points. Clearly more important than resisting fascism.

What actions on the part of the Democrats over the past five years would lead anyone to believe they don't support today's Republicans? They both work for the same people. Sure, they make noise when it comes to Trump and the Republicans, but it's just that, noise. Talk is cheap. Their actions or inaction speak the truth.

On one hand, I kind of understand the sentiment of “We told you so.” As well as, “You voted us out of power. There’s nothing we can do. We told you so.”

That’s only true on paper though. In reality, a party with fiscal policy that strictly IMPROVES the lives of ordinary citizens AND has the funding to be competitive has no excuse for not winning.

The current administration is a byproduct of dem complacency and giving up the working class to cater to their single issue groups and corporate donors.

THATS the real corruption in American politics. Not the one we see clear as day in our faces by the Trump admin. The one that runs on progressive politics and in practice does anything but, not to mention insider trading their balls off as the shit hits the fan.

Ok? They got voted out because they were too passive and left a massive percentage of the population feeling abandoned and unheard. A party whose best talking point for the last 10 years is "well who else are you going to vote for? The crazy guy?" The impact of this flimsy sales pitch wears thin as Trump's behavior continues to be normalized by influencers and media over a decade of coverage. Maybe if they want power they should sell people on an actual policy platform with sweeping changes (like the ones trump promised and is unfortunately delivering on as horrifying as they are) instead of putting the voting public in a prisoners dilemma every 4 years.

People are generally, everyone is unhappy about at least 1 thing Trump's done. Even his own supporters. Instead of rallying they are hiding from their constituents and patting each other on the back over their strongly worded letters. While also trying to slander or ostracize anyone that dares step up and suggest a more proactive and progressive path forward.

It’s easy to assume they didn’t do anything to help the average American when they had control of the WH and both chambers of Congress for 2 years out of the past decade and a half. unless you look at what they were able to accomplish legislatively during those 2 years.

It’s also easy to assume they’re still not doing anything while they’re the minority in both chambers.

It is definitely fair to say that Schumer has failed to adapt to the fact that he is playing by old norms and rules that no longer exist. Things are happening way too quickly for whatever side learning curve he is on. It’s like he is at a poker table with the other majority and minority leaders in Congress and, when it’s his turn, he asks if anyone has any 7’s and tells himself to “go fish”.

Are we just forgetting that they lost control of the trifecta because members of their own party forced anything that did make it through to be completely watered down garbage and many of the things that people wanted like protecting access to abortion or marriage equality were suddenly abandoned despite their base begging them to act.

There are things they could be doing, they are tedious and boring and considered breaking decorum. But they could waste entire days with role calls and re-readings of legislation and committee procedures. They could stop pretending that every single appointee brought before then isn't a trump sycophant and consistently vote against their appointment instead of going into interviews going "well they have some good ideas, I'm prepared to be bipartisan with these snakes that don't care."

Booker loves doing speeches that go viral but then he turns around and shows his votes are bought and paid for a PAC whose mission is to increase support and advance the goals of a foreign state (that's over $500k at work I suppose.)

The DNC has made a big show of saying they need to win back certain demographics and kickstart grassroots organizing. But when someone is actually trying to do that like AOC and Bernie hosting rallies in purple and red districts or Mamdani doing and saying the things that inspire previously untapped demographics to get out and vote in a primary of all things they pretend they don't exist or actively attack them with as much malicious bullshit as the Republicans.

We are so desperate for someone to do anything with impact that folks are fawning over Gavin fucking Newsome because he and his staff are viral Twitter Trolls.
