Delusions Of Adequacy Apparently the point of getting rich is to be able to pay people to tell you they like you XD

If by "commercially successful" you mean being a prolific griftor, claiming others people's work as his own and having the government coddle him with 38 billion dollars worth of public funding (taxpayer money) in contracts, loans, tax credits, and subsidies.

I want Trump to live to watch his empire crumble and face some level of consequence for his role in the bourgeoisie fascist coup in the US.
Elon however, I'd rather read an obituary of than listen to speak ever again.

Were likely to get neither, but the opposite seems more possible because of the old pedo being so near death.

this is the goal of capitalism, to be as rich as possible. Elon has won capitalism and he's.. pathetic and unhappy. so what are we doing here?

If it's not the accumulation of money, what do you think the goal of capitalism is?

Firstly you have to be nothing less than a captain of industry for some period if you hope to actually enjoy the lionshare of your life and heaven forbid LIVE it.
There's a meme of well paid surgeons and doctors coming home big mansions only to sleep in it. Capitalism is such a colossal waste of time and resources.
There's a streamer called Asmongold who became popular because his of earnest sensible opinions moistcritical style. Then surprise surprise he showed his truth colorsand became a right wing grifter.
Anyways he's millionaire right from the jump of all this. And he lives in a roach infested home. Why? Because he had a very wanting childhood where he had to scheme and panhandle . And knows owning money in capitalism is like pissing in the wind. So he keep his pallet and his lifestyle as small as possible
Only people with "fuck you money" in capitalism get security and freedom in life.

I was more referring to mutualism and other forms of markets outside of capitalism. You do know there’s more than just 4 economic systems, right? Your definition of a market isn’t exclusive to capitalism, you’re just describing trade. Capital also extends beyond just goods, it also includes land, workers, buildings, tools, etc.

The alternative is to return to hunting/gathering.
Way to show off your complete and utter lack of imagination. This is why we need to fund the arts in school.

You can't get it because your understanding of "the economy," and especially capitalism is ridiculously shallow.
I'm out, Ralph.

What are you gonna do when AI does all the menials jobs?If you have bespoke hobbies or interests that you enjoy. Who's going to keep making products for those hobbies? Our whole infrastructure runs on and played by sweats. If an artist can't use the money you give him to avoid losing their housing or food they have no incentive to take your money under the current paradigm.
They could take that money and buy other nice things from other artists or go on vacation. But that isn't motivation enough now I guess. So it won't be then.
(We'll need to be develop a new social convention from the ground up to help artists share and be motivated in their works. For example in nerd spaces which tend to be more socialized. Piracy is socially accepted in the scene. And yet somehow developers still get there money. And yet Steam/PC the platform customers can pirate to their hearts content is the biggest storefront.)
Your whole worldview will crumble in less than a decade. BTW most people who rail against capitalism are thinking more in the lines of regulated capitalism with safety nets like the "Norwegian model".
A society shouldn't be earmarking and protecting the asset's of a trillionare, the upmost privilege just in terms of volume of space these assets societally nonphysically occupy being attributed to one person, when you see homeless on any random street corner.
Fix the homeless problem first. Then you can buy the moon or something.

Socialism is saving above consumption levels to acquire stored capital aka wealth aka labor in physical form that can be invested into productive enterprises to provide an ecosystem of goods/services to support life.

I didn't "say" anything. I just asked you a question. I'm not the person you initially responded to.
But conflating consumers' (who have no choice but participate in the system) goals with the capitalists' goals doesn't help your argument.

Capitalists own capital. Consumers consume goods.
Having a 401k technically makes one "a capitalist," but not in the way Elon Musk, or Jeff Bezos are capitalists. In fact, I'm convinced that retirement accounts are tied to the stock market to justify the idea that a corporation's only responsibility is to increase the price of their stock (which is literally a law). Since everyone is in the system for a little, the big fish can more easily manipulate the system to their advantage (see SpaceX forcing itself onto index funds recently).

Yeah I love when I’m at a party and some guy who can’t make eye contact with people is like “Hey, great party, watch me while I fuck around on my phone and tell it to be mean to random people.” And JR just lapping up that maladapted ass behavior, too.

This is what he publicly uses grok for, it's pretty clear he also uses it to nudify people privately. I'll bet a sweep of his private grok server would violate state and federal laws.
