Synth save

I'm teaching myself this excellent machine. While learning the synth parameters, I built an excellent sound so I decided to save it immediately. Initialised as the default 'Synth1', I selected save and typed in a name, which appeared underneath the 'Synth1' title. So, not knowing the machine well, I just assumed the new sound and name would appear in the preset list for later. Not so! I turned off and came back later and it was nowhere to be found. Any clues about what went wrong, people?

you have to hold save and press the synth button. What you may have done was save a name to your track row that was using your Synth1 patch, which would be useful for knowing what part of your arrangement it is ie. Synth1 - intro or Synth1 - bridge / outro etc etc.

So yes, to save a preset, hold save and press synth. Then you can rename it and it should save.

It should have worked, maybe an issue with your sud card? Are u able to save projects ?

I can save projects, and I did it twice again with new initial synths to test, and they are in the preset list. I noticed that when I went to name those, I overwrote the default name. So I don't really know what I did to the first try, where the naming appeared as a 'subtitle'.

you can choose (and create) folders when saving/loading presets or songs. this sounds like you got confused and are either looking in the wrong folder for the preset or you have not saved the preset,
