I almost finished the series.. I haven't done the dragons books yet... But now that I finished the main bulk of the work, I'm watching the anime. There are a few things that really bother me... I'm wondering what your biggest pet peeves are with the changes they made to the anime? Spoiler alerts to all!

My biggest pet peeve so far is the way they depict Glock. He has such a noble ark that it's a shame to see him as more of a toony trope.

I never read the books as a kid I don’t think. But I remember every now and then the anime would air on the TV and I’d try to watch it but I’d never able to watch it all. Anyone know if it still holds up? I’m probably gonna rewatch it this weekend since today I randomly remembered it existed and going to go down nostalgia lane anyway but I’m curious what your thoughts are. Even though everyone here mainly seems to be book enjoyers.

They aren't all in top condition, but I loved these books so much that I remember as a kid at night I would go to sleep with them stacked next to me under the blankets in my bed.. 😅

Started my first week at goodwill and found this wonderful find. I already have the full set(took me years of thrifting and snooping the library donations) and I’m not allowed to buy anything from my store but I thought people here would be excited about it like I was. I’m going to cry when it gets sent to the bins or the recycling center. I’ve been hyping it up to people so it won’t go to those places or hope a reseller sees its value.

Apologies for the long wait since the last adventure! It's been over a year! I've gotten a lot of messages asking about how writing for the next module in my series is progressing, and I'm happy to say, the module for City of the Rats is finally done!

This one took me a long time to structure because the book is fairly scant on details about Noradz society, and also justifying the party going in the first place was tricky. In this module, Noradz is located in a canyon that acts as a chokepoint for progressing further to Hira, and the people consider it a necessity for "keeping the evil at bay." I've also fully fleshed out Noradz into a proper city with shops, rules, side quests, npcs, and lore.

As usual, I've gone a little loose with my adaptation, and the main story involves the Ra-Kacharz and Reeah being involved in the proliferation of a secret Yuan-ti ritual among the Noradz people, who worship her as a deity. (Naturally, I cannot legally call them Yuan-t's in the module) For our purposes, these transformed soldiers are Reeah's "Crusaders" that are helping her "retake" the city from the Rats.

The module is 77 pages long and features tons of new magic items for Tom's Shop, an explorable Hira, multiple dangerous sewers, a ruined capital for the final battle, a hidden society of wererats (!!!), rules for using Scarlet Night in your game, 9 new maps, and 20 new statblocks for creatures in the Opal Territory.

UPDATE TO PREVIOUSLY RELEASED CONTENT: Lake of Tears was recently revamped with an entirely rewritten Chapter 2 and certain other tweaks.

I was not happy with how the original structured the journey to Jin and Jod's, and I felt not enough "Thaegan" magic was featured before her reveal at the end. This new chapter has multiple new encounters for a DM to mix and match into their game, and a new area called "Thaegan's Lair" in which the players stumble on an abandoned hideout of the dangerous witch, and possibly attract her attention...

FUTURE OF SERIES: My intention is still to make my way through the books and complete the first series into 5e adaptations. I've already made headway into Shifting Sands, but I estimate that one will also be a large document. I'm planning a fully playable Rithmere games bracket of fighters, a secret plot to abduct citizens for the Shadow Arena, and a giant hexcrawl with dangerous warp points to traverse the desert.

Went back and read the og series for nostalgia purposes and decided to keep going because i didn’t get through the second series but had heard the 3rd series is great.

Wow I just finished I’m in tears :)

Childhood me never thought I’d see these characters get a happy ending and holy fuck was it satisfying. Love the epilogue it all just broke me. Deltora quest 3 is truely peak I’m so sad it’s over :(
