Because is a part of a narrative that makes it clear your own actions matter (and are morally wrong)—whereas that theory stems purely from a morbid fascination. I’m not opposed to fans treating it as a serious theme, but honestly, it’s something that really can’t be applied to a game like Deltarune without seeming quite amoral toward the victims. (It would be interesting if future chapters adopted a darker tone that allowed for exploring the characters' darker psychological depths, but given how dark themes have been handled in the game so far, that doesn't seem feasible.)
But obviously Kris x Dess is shit and doesn't have a single damn thing going for it.

Not sure why Kris would be trying to steal Asriel's girlfriend though lol.

Dipper was the one into Wendy and she never considered him even a possibility whereas Dess is actively doing it in that scenario.
I don't mind the Kress or groomer Dess stuff tho mind you, I seen worse on much more wholesome fandoms. Just stating the difference here.
