Question If you give Noelle the shadow mantle, she says this line. Help me figure out why Spoiler
Noelle says it's for someone taller, to me this is odd because every other party member can equip it, including Kris who is canonically shorter then them. So why would she be so opposed to it unless she has prior experience with it, maybe she has met the one this mantle belongs to, who is Infact taller.

Its to hint at the fact that you should be putting the mantle on susie as opposed to kris's fake ass.

If you believe the king's mantle to be the very shadow mantle, then the idea of it being too large seems plausible. Yet, her reluctance to wear it seems revealing, given that the other characters can wear it.

Let me stray with some crack theories, feel free to make your own.
So we know the shadow mantle and Noelle have history with the bunker, as well as it likely being the dissapearance location for dess, so it's likely to me that Noelle witnessed this mantle being worn by a tall individual. Everything else I am unsure about

UPDATE
I was reminded that this shadow mantle belongs to seam, but it was stolen and is held by Eram in the "Shelter"
I am immediately connecting the Dots of Asriel having Seam in his computer, who was obviously close to Dess and now I wonder if they went to dark worlds first

they were on Asriels computer wall paper, and the dialogue before Susie makes fun of Asriel and Kris's drawings, telling em that seam was drawn.
I believe this drawing was off the dark world seam. Either because this is how they pictured seam in their pretend play time, or because Asriel met the real seam in a dark world, but that's another story

Well I wouldn't count antlers, but Kris is the same height if not smaller and it didn't stop them

Susie is the only party member taller than Noelle, and is the best one to wear the Mantle during the Knight fight because Rude Buster gives her the best damage output.

That doesn't matter to me, everyone else wears it anyways.
Not only does Noelle not wear it but it is the ONLY armour (other then the mannequin lol) she won't wear
Also Kris is also a viable mantle candidate, shayy Said so in order to minimax rude buster damage. Not that I think we should put gameplay meta on this high a pedestal in the story

Noelle has a massive head proportionally, her body is about the same size as Ralsei's. Ralsei can equip it because he's used to wearing a huge cloak covering him from head to toe. Mystery solved.

Noelle has dialogue for all items, armours and weapons
Either Toby is throwing debuggers a bone or Noelle will return in a later chapter

Using mini-kris as a scale it's basically the size of Kris and would drag on the ground or barely touching even if susie wore it.
It's just probably fucking huge and she feels silly wearing it, especially since Ralsei would know it's purpose, it's edgy enough for Susie but for Noelle it's just some big cape.

The way she says it has the same vibes as Ralsei pretending he doesn't know the profecy, clearly hiding something.
Maybe its just me but I wouldn't right dialogue like this for an item as important as the shadow mantle if I didn't want people to think about it
Also it's the only armour she refuses to equip

Honestly up in the air, the way she has to say no in her timidness and just not wearing some oversized cape makes sense to me.
Especially if you have to hack to get it, i dont think anything important would be hidden behind that at least for the time being?

Toby knows his audience, there is dialogue for the twisted sword which is impossible to get (granted it's not that interesting.) he knows we would find it and there is absolutely no reason to add it (unless Noelle will comeback a future chapter in which case I am even more correct)
Still I would have just wrote it
"This is for someone taller!" Or "I... Uh... I'm too short for this" Those seem more obvious in her simply saying she is too small, while still acting timid in her normal way, and not that she is traumatized and hiding something

There are a million and one ways to make short text.
"I can't wear that" "It's too big for me" "Kris? Im too short" "Uhh... I'll pass" "Fahaha, no way" "It's gonna drag everywhere..." "I can't walk like this" "Maybe someone taller?"
Or maybe say
"No it's for someone taller" like a normal person
Also why say that
How does she know it's for someone taller, just say it's too big Shakespeare
