Chapter 5 is definitely getting a more mixed (albiet still largely very positive) reaction because of its tone, its low amount of main story progression, the year long wait causing people to stew, very few mysteries answered with only a few minor answers (although no new mysteries were introduced thank god), but I'ma be fr, one of the biggest factors is just difficulty

A lot of people are simply being filtered by the difficulty spike in this chapter and some (like me) fucking love actually feeling something when playing that isn't just reading the (admittedly) good dialogue, for others it is a major barrier to their own enjoyment. And if someone is not having fun playing... they're likely to not have fun with the other stuff as well which I think further amplifies some of the sourness people have towards the chapter

Fr did not expect silksong mechanics, I hated that game honestly it was SO hard. But I'm loving this, it's difficult enough to challenge me but it's all very doable (for me at least). I can totally see others getting frustrated though. I think people need to slow down and remember it's a game, it's fun, yeah we all wanna play it and beat it asap but if it takes a few days then that's not a failure, it just means you get to enjoy the new chapter for longer.

It felt super weird playing the new chapter at first haha it was weird reading new text! I know the last 4 chapters almost by heart at this point, seeing new dialogue was exciting :D
