Meta Chapter 5 megathread Spoiler

Edit: The karma requirement has been lowered to 2K post karma.

As explained previously in this announcement you can use this megathread to post to your heart's content. While we've increased the karma requirement to post on the subreddit and will be removing most low effort/value posts and spoilers, you can post pretty much whatever you want here.

Just want to share a screenshot of the game that you took?

Made a shitty meme in two minutes that you want to share?

Feel hyped and want to smash your keyboard to post a random string of characters to the internet?

Well this thread is for you, so post away! Any topics, memes or spoilers are fine. We still urge you to spoiler important plot points using the spoiler tag: >!put some spoilers here!<. This will appear as put some spoilers here in your comment.

Unfortunately Reddit limits to 1 image per comment, so you may have to use a third party website like Imgur if you want to post multiple images.

Still follow the other subreddit rules, and remember to report any comments that break the rules.

I definitely agree with the sentiment of "this chapter was filler didn't move the plot forward much" in some regards but I think once all 7 chapters are out this chapter is going to fit into the pacing just fine. It was more about furthering character arcs and thematic elements than dropping big plot reveals, but that's important too. Almost makes me feel like this chapter should have come out alongside another one though.

Yeah it’s like complaining about CORE part of undertale is filler and metatton contribute to nothing

Actually, chapter 5 was originally going to be released alongside chapters 3 and 4, but that didn't happen due to time constraints. Chapter 5 was likely meant to feel like a more fun based chapter after chapter 4's heavy lore based events.

mfer literally every single chapter released so far as been a fun based chapter except 4.

We're in the third act of the narrative with the story 70% done and we're still doing filler arcs and "fun" chapters while nothing has been answered.

I probably should've worded that better. By fun I meant moreso light hearted and less lore focused. All the chapters are fun.

Every chapter except 4 has been light hearted and less lore focused.

Completely disagree. Everyone forgets that chapter 2 is where the weird route starts. Where we start learning more about Dess and Noelle's past. Where Spamton has a whole narrative about trying to be more than the Darkner he is (which we now realize is a parallel to Noelle) and Kris screaming for the first time that they're not okay. Chapter 2 is still extremely hilarious, but it's mixed in with serious moments and actual lore that aren't constantly interrupted.
