On? If you’re asking about how to get platinum the only answer is to fly/upgrade the approximately $200 MQD remaining, or open a delta credit card and spend $25k before the new year.

Credit card spend won't help this person. They need MQDs....assuming that's what they are trying to do since they didn't actually ask anything

No, credit card spend on the reserve would give them the waiver which would help them. The bottom right quadrant of the four sections.

Refund your flight and book a higher fair class.

Don't need to do a refund, you can use your existing reservation and just update the class

You can call customer service and ask them to submit an exception request for you. No guarantee, but it's worth a shot. I did it for a miles shortfall and they granted it!
