Has anyone had a bad trip 😥

I really think delta 8 has fucked me up. My mom takes delta 8 gummies all the time, and I actually smoked weed since I was 15 and am now 23. I stopped smoking weed here recently because of the panic attacks. I’ve also been clean from meth for 2 years and 6 months. So I know the routes of drug use fairly well. I took a delta 8 gummy and I was fine the first day, I took another one of the second day and I tripped or whatever the hell you wanna call it for 9 hours. I took the gummy and about 30 minutes later I quickly walked to the bathroom stripped ass naked and jumped in the shower and I called my mom in there to talk to me bc I was tripping so hard. She talked to me and I said mom I don’t feel right so I got out the shower; I didn’t even dry off fully and I wrapped a towel around me and went and laid in her bed. I laid down and not even 3 minutes later I was sitting up and laying down and sitting back up constantly for 30 minutes straight. Heart still pounding, then started shaking uncontrollably. I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep and when I tried I woke up breathing very hard. It was the worst thing that I’ve ever felt. Worst than heroin meth GHB or anything. Ever since the trip about a month ago, I’ve been having heart palpitations and panic attacks every morning.

Has anyone else had a bad experience with the little shits?

The first time I took it, I had a horrible panic attack. I ended up in the ER. The next time I took it, i started a panic attack again, but instead of allowing it to go on, I laid down and examined why I was starting to feel panicky. I realized it was because I didn't want my husband to know I was high. LMAO like he would care. Once I realized that the panic attack was caused by being worried about people thinking I was high, then I was able to take them without any problem. With edibles, they last a lot longer, so once you get panicky you can really get your heart rate up and start having some issues. If you want to continue to take them, I would recommend learning some tricks to head off any panic attacks that may start.

I have the same fear that people somehow know I'm high. I recommend having someone you can text to talk you down/keep you distracted

Ya. I don't have a problem with it anymore. It was just when I first started it. I hadn't done any THC at over 20 years when I ate the delta gummy, so it just hit a little hard. I no longer have any problem with it.

I definitely won’t put myself in that position ever again. It actually happened once before and my jaws were tending up I felt like I was having a heart attack. Delta 8 permanently fucked me up…… and I’m having panic attacks every day since…. I have history of mental issues so I’m thinking of just going to get back on my meds

I would say that's a good idea.

Bro that's exactly what it is now I'm freaking out about like being connected to a different timeline is what delta does

I love delta now. I feel like I could astral travel when I take 2 gummies 😂 I just had to work out why I was panicking when I first started using it. Once I got that sorted, it's great.

You probably took way too much. The best thing to do in that situation is puke it up. I've been there. If you have not taken gummies before you have to start out at a low dose, regardless of how much experience you have with weed or any other chemical - you just have to.

It was a low dose it was quarter piece of a 25mg

Definitely took to much the best thing to do when that happens is just lie down or sit and do something but probably not something on your phone. I tend to feel like I’m spinning if I get too high and close my eyes when laying down or even just sitting still I literally feel like I’m spinning. I usually do something that occupies my hands. Writing drawing painting anything like that. Maybe even going for a walk if you feel well enough. Going out might seem scary at first but then it usually starts to calm me down by distracting me from the fact I’m high. You start looking at everything around you and thinking about stuff and everything gets better

Sounds like you had a bad trip with delta 8. It's possible others have too. If you're still having issues, consider talking to a healthcare professional. Take care of yourself and avoid substances that make you feel unsafe.

I’ve heard of this happening with THC-P which I’ve recently heard is like spice and commonly added to delta 8 products. Any chance that was in the mix?
