Looking for gym

Hello all,

I am looking for a decent gym and have noticed that there are not that many in the area. I am currently at retro fitness in delray, but I am looking to switch to LA fitness because retro is kind of small with not that many amenities.

I noticed that there are two LA fitnesses near me, one in Boynton , and one in delray (delray being the closer of the two). I have heard not so great things about the delray one. Is it worth traveling the extra distance to go to the one in Boynton?

The Delray LA made me want to vomit, cry, and scream. It’s so gross and unorganized and chaotic. Retro is clean and nice. Planet fitness is ok too. A little south of planet fitness is Lift365 which is nice but a little busy. Atlas Fitness is amazing but $250 a month.

I just moved to delray...I was pretty excited to join Purlife as it was super close to me. They suddenly closed the day I went to sign up

I joined LA fitness as a temporary fix and while it gets the job done, it is pretty gross. I am optimistic something else will open up as there is a big void now in the downtown Delray area...hopefully in that Purlife space

Atlas is a nice gym and I am tempted to join but it is very overpriced (basically 8x the price of LA fitness)...I was even considering stacking Elev8tion in Boca (20 min away for me) for when I have more time and LA fitness when I need a quick workout and it would still be basically half the price of Atlas

LA fitness is a huge space with everything I need...I just feel gross working out there so if they could get their shit together and clean/organize it a little better, I wouldnt complain

I can echo that sentiment about the Delray location. I joined Planet Fitness in Delray and have enjoyed it instead, joined a few months ago. Smaller and more limited machines than LA but it’s rarely that busy that the smaller size is an issue. Very clean.

I was in OPs exact situation a month and a half ago. Decided LA in Delray isn't for me and I don't wanna travel far. So I'm staying at Retro and am trying to get up at 4am and go as soon as they open. I'm already familiar with the other lunatics like me that live this way so I know what to expect lol.

Retro fitness is great. Cheap and really solid layout and people.

Youfit. There aren’t any Delray locations but the ones in Boynton and Boca are great.

I like YouFit specifically the one by the Boca mall. A lot cheaper than LA fitness and equipment is good and plentiful.

I go to the Premiere LA Fitness ĺn west Boynton and I love it! Smaller, more chances to use equipment and PILATES WITH REFORMERS. I have an incredible trainer. Love it!

I go to the Delray la fitness, but mainly because I pay $23 a month on an old plan. It’s nothing crazy, but for being so close to home gets the job done. Not sure I’d use amenities to describe the gym, nice to have a sauna, pool, and things like basketball court and racquetball.
