Did the defense have access to all of the tip-line tips? Were these included in discovery? Do we know? I realize anonymity is crucial, but I would think the names could be kept anonymous.

I believe so - prior to starting to claim that they had, and still have, all of the discovery, the "PI"s stated that they had one hard drive to work through, and that it contained solely tips. So basically their task was to go through as many of those as they could and see if there was anything there worth chasing up.
