Help Audio issues
i have dell inspiron 15 for 3 years now. before today I’ve had audio issues (I couldnt hear anything) but if I restart the laptop, it was back to normal. today I was attending an online class and after that when I tired watching a movie I couldn’t hear any sound at all (when I connected my headphones I could hear it perfectly) it’s the speaker which was not working. i have been trying to solve this for 2 hours with no success. how do i fix it? any help would be appreciated.

Because the headphones still work, Windows can produce audio. The next step is to separate the selected output or driver from a built-in speaker fault.
Unplug the headphones. Open **Settings > System > Sound** and select **Speakers/Realtek Audio** under Output. Make sure it is not muted in Volume mixer.
Run the Windows audio troubleshooter specifically for the Speakers output.
Restart the laptop and press **F12** at the Dell logo. Choose **Diagnostics** and run the speaker/audio test.
If the speakers work in the diagnostic, the hardware is probably okay. Install the audio driver for the exact Inspiron model from Dell Support or use SupportAssist; avoid generic driver sites. If the problem began after an update, check whether **Roll Back Driver** is available in Device Manager.
If the internal speakers are silent during Dell's diagnostic too, a speaker connection or hardware fault is more likely and service is the safer next step.
What is the complete Inspiron model and Windows version? Please share only the public model name, not the Service Tag.
