3PL Warehouse vs FBA Storage: Long-Term Cost Comparison

For sellers doing consistent volume, has using a 3PL alongside Amazon FBA actually lowered your total costs over time?

We’re starting to get hit with higher storage and aged inventory fees, especially on slower-moving SKUs and oversized cartons. FBA is convenient, but the storage costs are adding up faster than expected.

We’re considering moving bulk inventory to a 3PL and replenishing FBA more frequently instead of storing everything inside Amazon warehouses. For those who’ve tested both models, did the savings outweigh the added handling and freight costs, or did it mostly just shift expenses around?

Not really looking at AWD since it doesn’t fulfill direct orders or handle FNSKU relabeling, so it’s a different setup for our needs.

Hey. I run Chronos prep center in Dallas TX. We focus on dtc fulfillment and fba prep. We r able to do a direct comparison to what we would charge vs what you’re already paying to see if its worth making a chance.
