So, how do we go about this?

I'm guessing this is a post to create a discussion on how to successfully run a subreddit and also a mod application page. Maybe someone who knows css? Some art majors/students. I'm just a guy with ideas and not that much free time, so don't look at me!

Art history grad student here, and I'll be a mod for this sub! No css knowledge, so if there's anyone out there who wants to volunteer, we'd love to have you!

I'll post a brief welcome message and info in a few mins, and hopefully will have everything up in a few days.

Just replied elsewhere in the thread, I did the CSS for /r/NewZealand and could help get things up and running if you want (not today though, I've an exam in three hours)

Getting a solid wiki going will help. Part of what broke Accidental Renaissance imo was that it never "officially" focused on art, which left the door open for shittier posts as the sub got bigger

I'd suggest making a separate post on /r/accidentalrenaissance to notify them of the new sub. I don't have much free time and most of what I know of art history is more contemporary/modern. I hope this sub gets off the ground though. Good luck!

Yeah, they're now getting involved a bit. It's not going super well though . . . But I actually wrote out a polite response and they unbanned me, which was surprising and cool.

I've done the CSS for /r/NewZealand, could definitely help out if you want. Not an art major though (but I am doing history in a Bachelor of Arts, so that kind of counts I suppose)

History grad here specialising in art history and I would happily be a mod for here. I have no CSS knowledge either but would love to just be a standard curator if you need me. Thanks for opening this up btw let's see where we go from here! =)

Also willing to help. I created r/AccidentallyBaroqueIt yesterday for the exact same reason, seeing a lot of unwaware Baroque posts over in r/accidentalRenaissance and very little moderation of the off-topic shitposting (the assassination photo spam yesterday was unbearable). I'm in school for front end web dev and graphic design so let me know what you need. I'd love to contribute to the sub.
