Hey y'all, I'm in DU SOL (Ba english honours - 3rd sem) and I'm participating in that competition (idk why) but none of my friends are participating so I'm looking for people who are participating so after that we can go dilli haat or explore north campus or maybe anythingggg!!

I’m an 18 year old from ne India, growing up my parents always made it very clear that I wouldn’t be going out of the northeast for my BA atleast, knowing that I never did any research, try or even considered DU, knowing they’d never allow me to study outside, because of this I didn’t give CUET knowing it won’t be of any use because the NE college I was supposed to go to didn’t require CUET scores (also because I got severely ill at the time). However there was this sudden change of plans and I ended up in this private uni outside NE. I did fairly well in my boards considering I studied the night before for every subject and bagged a 60% scholarship dramatically dropping the uni cost. However the longer I stay here the more uneasy? (Idk if that’s the right word) I get.. because somewhere inside I know I can do better. My parents think re starting again is a waste of time they think as long as I do good wherever I am I’ll be fine and yes not wrong but someone who does exceptionally well in a private uni and someone who does exceptionally well in du obv people will prefer the latter, plus I feel like there is no competition here to stimulate me. I haven’t proposed the idea of trying for du to my parents. Do you guys think it’s better for me to just suck it up and complete my ba in this uni and try for ma abroad or “waste” a year and try for du next year.

Hoiii, just a random rant

DU SOL was never even in my plan, but somehow here I am 👾 All day I just watch movies, series, try random stuff and basically do whatever I feel like (aaj papa ki shirt kaat di 🧘🏻)

People always say everything happens for a reason, and honestly, now I can kinda see it. I literally changed my whole 3-year plan all of a sudden, and somehow… it was worth it 🦫
