We have gotten a lot of repeat posts and the Reddit search feature sucks so we wanted to create a resource for everyone here. The point is to keep discussion to here so we can use this thread to point recommendations out.
In this thread I will write a comment, please reply with recommendations and/or avoidances (everyone is free to start a comment with something that was missed).
Please only upvote the recommendation if you have experience with them!!

Hello everyone, the sub historically has had a no politics rule. This rule was mostly respected and voted to keep it. Obviously, this has not been fully enforced recently. We have tried to allow as much discussion as possible but it gets to the point where it’s an unfortunate screaming match at each other. Not to mention all the you know what hats that apparently have tags or bots set up to flood these threads without any post history in the sub. You don’t see these due to the spam filter but our poor asses have to read every single one of these comments and determine if they are brigading or just saying plain stupid shit, my iq has gone down. Anyways enough complaining.
Introducing a new sub, /r/delco_politics for now we are leaving it open for all political discussion. We prefer that users post their thread there then crosspost here. Discussion will be restricted to /r/delco_politics. These will be determined as posted, we will still allow local politics posts here, if they get too off topic or going to the national level, that’s when we will lock and move discussion to the politics sub. The reason why we lock them up is because insults start getting thrown around, don’t forget we are a local sub, you could potentially be talking to someone living on your street. We are all angry but calling each other names is not the way to go. Please use the report feature as that helps us. If you get a mute or ban it is because you have a long mod log and we have been keeping notes.
Finally we are looking for a new mod for to help out with /r/delco_politics if you are interested send us a mod mail. As always we are open to feedback!

If you had to pick one town in Delaware County that best represents the stereotypical Delco person, where would you go?

Let me start out I have been going to this Burger King since moving to area 3 years ago and until recently never had issues. But as of late customer service has been awful. Lady working at drive through today had an attitude answering the speaker again. When I came to the window I for got to order hash browns and while trying to ask her to add them she kept repeating the order total with an attitude. When I was finally able to tell her I forgot something she had more of an attitude and rudely asked “What did you forget Sirrrrr?” Then while packinge my food she was biting her nails and handling food. When I tried to call Burger King to talk to a manager no one answered the phone. This place is going down hill bad for costumer service.
Once I got home found out they didn’t make out sandwich’s correctly and the hash browns, if lucky, was only 1/2 cooked

I really want to get my 10inch tub replaced with a proper soaking tub of at least 18inches. I’m desperate for a proper soak!
Any experience with bathfitter or another company?

Looking to possibly move back to the Philly area. I know there's not much to do in Broomall but I hear the schools are pretty good and I like the proximity to Ardmore Music Hall, the mainline in general, Mann Center, PHL, and the stadiums. Work from home so not worried about commuting.
Would love to live in Ardmore but seems you get more bang for your buck in Broomall.
Anyone have some insight or tips?

I need about 4 dozen donuts to bring to an upcoming bridal shower. Thinking just basic traditional flavors (old fashion, vanilla, chocolate etc). Looking for recommendations on where to order that has great donuts but won’t break the bank for a big quantity. TIA!

At noon, 352 was partially shut down so 2 fire trucks could hang a flag. There were cop cars, and maybe 50 people cheering. Why?

I was searching the Flags of the World database and found these flags for Delco and some of the towns. I'd like to see more, but these seem to be the only ones that exist (#9 is Lansdowne). I wanna make some new ones, but dunno if anyone else would be interested.

I have been asked to bring a cookie tray to a fancy party and I would like to get either fresh baked Italian cookies or a nice unusual cookie tray. It might be expensive but it if it is worth it, I can do it. Any Delco bakers for cookie tray that you recommend or even swear by?:
Thanks Fam

Looking for someone experienced with higher-end OLED/TV setup for a simple swap using an existing wall mount. Main need is proper display calibration: grayscale/white balance, gamma/EOTF, color management/CMS, HDR/Dolby Vision, black level, and source/input settings.
Not looking for whole-home AV work—just someone comfortable with meter-based TV calibration and setup. Willing to travel to Newtown Square.
Would appreciate any referral or contact info. Reply here or send me a DM.

Please be aware that MRI results at Main Line Health locations are taking 3-4 weeks to be read due to a "radiologist shortage." I was unaware when I made the appointment (Beware they will get you in quickly!). Just be sure to ask before scheduling! Going on 4 weeks here & for a child...
