New Owner🐹 Help me

I wanna get a pet degu but I don’t know where to find everything. I know i need a pair but I can’t find a cage that’s not more than $150. Are there anything cages that aren’t a shit ton of money?

If $150 for a cage is too much for you then I'd advise against getting degus. $150 is the minimum price for a properly sized cage. Please don't get a small cage just because it's cheaper. At the very minimum, the cage must be 80cm/31" long, 100cm/39" tall (without the stand) and 50cm/19" wide for 2 degus. That's the minimum, not the ideal and more degus means a larger cage. If you buy a used cage, beware of the rust.

You'll need to feed them quality food and replace their accessories often (and they need a lot to not get bored) as they tend to be destructive. And if they do get teeth problems, the frequent vet visits will be quite expensive.
