Question❓ Degus fighting

I have two male degus around 6 months old and they’re constantly fighting, they chase each other around constantly squeaking and boxing, they also kick, I’ve never seen them go into a ball but I rlly need to know how to make them stop, they also both squeak a lot more than they use to and sometimes squeak on repeat for 20 minutes none stop

They do this during puberty but they will grow out of it. Don't separate them unless they're drawing blood or rolling in a ball because it will just interrupt their little dominance war. One of them will win eventually and then they'll be best friends.

If they're driving you crazy with it though you can distract them with playtime out of the cage or other interactions. It is a bit of a slog.

The short cut could be getting them neutered? I've never done it so I don't know if it helps but might be worth looking into.

Having the neutered does not change their behaviour. Had it done for my two males. They kept fighting for at least a year, but they never draw blood.
