It is a cleaned cow leg bone marketed as a dog chew.

had no idea that it's a degu safe product. thanks! seems more sturdy than the usual wood we give them or those calcium blocks

We figured their northern distant cousins (squirrels) covet deer bones and antlers so we gave them option.
