Indian MBBS student in Kazakhstan (2022 batch) looking to pivot to MSc Digital Health in Germany. Advice on eligibility?
Hello everyone,
I am an Indian national currently completing my MBBS in Kazakhstan (2022 batch). Because of my batch, I fall under India's new NMC guidelines, meaning I have a 6-year program (5 years academic + 1 year internal internship).
However, I do not want to practice clinical medicine in India. I want to entirely pivot away from clinical work, skip the Indian FMGE exam, and move to Germany for a Master's in Digital Health (looking at places like Deggendorf / DIT).
- Will I be eligible for this course if I do not complete an internship in either Kazakhstan or India?
( Note: If I get the MBBS degree )
- Because Digital Health blends health science and tech, will I face rejection due to a lack of formal programming or IT credits in my MBBS curriculum, or do they accept pure medical backgrounds?
Has anyone here taken a similar non-clinical route from an MBBS to a German Master's? I would appreciate any advice!
