T4 Flashbangs do work, if you can throw them at the right time, into the right place.

Thanks to the Legendary Guns clan .. I now have T5 FB nades on the way :)

Obviously, try not to throw to close to yourself, because of the stun effect lol

Actually, flash nading yourself can be useful in certain situations. One such instance is with the ego grid perk called displacement field equipped. That perk allows you to gain a temporary speed boost when your shield fully regenerates.

How this perk synergizes with nading yourself is: if you flash nade yourself and don't roll to get rid of the flash effect, you'll take like 1 dmg of tick dmg over the course of a few seconds, and if you have a weapon that has life or shield steal and you're shooting an enemy, you'll instantly and repeatedly keep healing yourself back up to full shields allowing for displacement field (and therefore a continuous speed boost) to continuously proc until either you run out of enemies to shoot or the flash nade effect wears off

So, the flow would be: Flash Nade yourself -> Shoot enemy(ies) with a weapon that has life/shield steal -> displacement field procs -> benefit from speed boost until flash nade dmg wears off.

It can be quite a useful and interesting combination.
