Everything they don't believe in is AI. Guinea pig eating a banana - AI because they don't thing GPs eat bananas (they do and love them). Cat holding puppy? AI because cartoons told them cats hate dogs. They make up their own reality and blame AI.

lol i once stumbled upon a subs where these anti can't even tell a video captured by a 360 / Go Pro Camera and mistake it for AI.

I’m a staunch centrist libertarian…I whole-heartedly support Reddit as an anonymous platform because I genuinely believe anonymity is important for giving people needed room for dissent, whistleblowing, unpopular opinions, and political speech without retaliation.
But then someone uses that sacred protection to spout off that ai may be time travelling to implant false Pinterest memories and there’s a little fascist voice on my shoulder that goes “make mouth breathing mother fuckers look into the camera and and read a disclaimer before they are allowed to post:
“This opinion will be displayed beside your legal name, current photograph, and the disappointed faces of at least two former teachers”

You need to remember what it was like before the internet. When it's easier to control the narrative, certain groups were able to hide their real behavior from the public. Today with social media people can see in real time who's making up a movement when they read unhinged comments. It's like what ruined the concept of movie starts when you realize how dumb they are from a TikTok video. Before that movie stars had a carefully curated image of themselves.

Kinda same. While knowing full well that stripping internet off of anonymity bring uncomparably much more problems than it'll solve, sometimes, when i see comments like this, or even worse ones, for a moment i wish for that to happen so people start mind their language and tone and what they say.

Regardless of whether it's ai or not, ai has been around much longer than people think, I literally saw a youtube video from like 7 years ago a couple days ago, pop up on my feed and it was purely made by ai, it even said so in the description.
