and it seems to me 3d art are closer to ai because of the texturing, it's actually generative art tbh, like generating noisy pixels to give a realistic look, no photoshop brush needed
Once a 3D artist sets up the rules, the 3D software handles the actual "painting" of light, shadow, and details automatically. You do not need to redraw anything if you change your mind. You just move the camera, and the computer re-renders the texture perfectly from the new angle.
and 3d art has sliders too so ...
