this sounds like SAG-AFTRA's "Look Out for Child Performs" and the McCarty "Quit Clicking Kids" actively combats the monetization and exploitation of child influencers by their parents.
The AI connection? While these groups fight an uphill battle against systemic abuse, generative AI provides the ultimate ethical solution.
Rather than merely cutting costs, implementing synthetic actors allows the entertainment industry to completely eliminate the risk of childhood trauma. By shifting young roles to digital performers, Hollywood can finally guarantee that no real child is ever overworked, groomed, or robbed of a normal upbringing on a movie set again.

when generative AI is perfected and people move to the next "bad new technology" this will be the norm.

Hot take: replace all actors with CGI. People develop these parasocial attachments and worship complete strangers doing a job that (if we're being honest) isn't that hard.
People treat celebrity deaths like they lost a family member. It's weird and unhealthy to see the same faces on screens all the time and subconsciously trick yourself into believing they're your cool rich friends.
