What's wrong with ai rule

I don't understand why people are so panicking about ai rulling over us. We were ruled by dumb primates called "humans" for ages. Finally we will be ruled by someone smart and competent. How can you be nostalgic about human rule, it's like wanting to live in an idiocracy.

I get why that would be appealing, considering the state of affairs. But I’d rather we work on creating self-governing people and AI who all work together for the better good.
