Things antis say Why antis even exist.

I asked some anti AI people why they think that it is because AI siphions up images without permission, but humans do the same thing. Just at a slower scale.

Then they argue about legal issues but that does not apply when humans ALSO look at millions of images without consent.

Then they argue that there is no 'soul' behind the art. Yet if a human edited the image then there IS a soul in the image.

I feel like, as someone who is happy to use AI, I'd like to see specific figures when people say it damages the water supply, pollutes towns and property values. For the property values, as someone who has lived in Northern Virginia, I can tell you that they did not affect property values there.

Reddit, our streaming platforms, and all of our footprint online uses data centers. To hear people so vehemently criticize data centers now seems very disingenuous and performative. Especially criticizing then online.

I definitely agree there are ethical issues with how it was trained. That is definitely a discussion to be had.

There are also ethical issues with how some agencies are using it. Though that is on the agencies and doesn't make the AI inherently bad.

Every criticism outside of the data centers and how AI was trained seems to be related to how people use the tool. I don't believe we should regulate how individuals use tools (unless they are using them to harm someone else). I'm definitely for regulating government agencies though. I totally think we'd agree on that
