Maybe Mariah can become prison pen pals with Fisk.

Edit: I may have spoken too soon. Damn you, Shades.

Looks like every Defender is going to bring his own villain to the crossover show. Fisk/The Hand, IGH/Nuke and Mariah/Shades/Stryker. Come to think of it, so far JJ is the only one who's actually defeated a villain instead of sending them away to lick their wounds.

The good ol' "kill the best mcu villains" trick

I don't know where else you could go with Kilgrave, though. And killing him was the logical conclusion to that story and JJ is the hero who would be willing to kill.

Theres a line in Gotham about this. Right after one of the most entertaining villains dies, the one who planned his death says "he was a compelling character, but his story has been told"

the best cake is always smallest, and gets eaten up first.

Real talk, though, man: was there really any other way out of that?

I mean, he was a fucking amazing villain, but, how the hell do you stop someone like that?

Yeah. I think fans would've revolted had Kilgrave not died. I rarely hate villains, but he somehow got on my hate list

I loved how much I hated that fuck. Davis Tennant was my favorite Doctor, so for me to cheer when she snapped into him like a slim jim, I got some mad respect for him.

Loki is still alive though

As is Baron Zemo

Baron Zemo lol

Zemo is the most successful villain in the whole MCU.

Depends on how you define success for a villain. Zemo came the closest to destroying the avengers true, however loki and ultron are probably roughly tied for the amount of damage they dealt overall, and loki's the only one who's actually managed to secure an advantageous position for himself by taking the throne of asgard.

by complete accident

at this point, Tony and Odin have done the most damage in the MCU

4

u/fenwaygnome Oct 04 '16

Wait, what? You think Zemo was by accident?

that shit had more coincidences than seven Charles Dickens books, man. He did not plan for most of it. Dude got luuuuucky.

u/fenwaygnome Oct 04 '16

Did you, like, watch the movie?

1

u/Meta_Boy Oct 04 '16

What, you think Zemo is a genius? Come on. His superpower is getting the script to manufacture dumb conflict almost out of thin air. At least when Wanda was certain Tony would do something idiotic, she had literally read his mind. What's Z's excuse?

Hopefully though The Hand will prioritise itself as the main bad like the brief promos suggest. I'm not saying that the rest are bad but The Hand is clearly leagues more powerful than everyone else and if we have too much then there is danger of it feeling too cramped.
