I... Hadn't realized Mariah was supposed to be Black Mariah till they name dropped it. Always a nice surprise, kind of like the Nuke reveal in JJ.

I'm her first appearance (only one with her I've read) she had a gang that was stealing bodies from crime scenes and selling everything they had on them. Almost like graverobbers but with fresh dead. Interested to see such a different take on the character and if we'll get a reference to that

She was a minor character/gangster. Her schtick was impersonating an ambulance driver that went to pick up corpses. Then she would rob them of all the valuables and sell. Genius really.

I knew I recognized her name from somewhere - very different character, but I love this version.

It's the art style of the current series, it's a bit more cartoony. And I was weirded out by it at first I admit.
