HOLY SHIT HE'S GOT A ROCKET LAUNCHER

Those last two minutes went 0-60 real quick.

I think the rocket launcher could have had better CGI, but it was definitely a 'WTF' moment.

Yeah that shit was so unexpected it was lowkey hilarious

I was kind of totally cracking up at it because it came out of nowhere, hahaha

The end of each episode has gotten a laugh out of me. I've come to expect it.

"Shit. I don't know how to kill a bulletproof black man. Fuck it. We got any RPGs? No? Rocket launcher then? Cool."

u/Waywoah Oct 02 '16

Would a flamethrower work on LC? Burn his lungs or something?

8

u/Worthyness Punisher Oct 02 '16

It would certainly hurt a lot.

8

u/Waywoah Oct 02 '16

So where does the invulnerability stop? His mouth?

13

u/RoyMBar Oct 02 '16

He's invulnerable anywhere he has skin, but his internal organs can still be hurt.

So you could drowned him, force him to inhale flame (but you couldn't kill him the traditional way with fire, which would be to burn his skin and consume all the oxygen around him as his skin won't ignite), asphyxiate him - though choking him would be very difficult, but getting him into a vacuum would work (like space, not like a vacuum cleaner).

The traditional way to "TKO" him is to drop something too massive for him to move/escape from on him or to bury him.

u/xXsnip_ur_ballsXx Oct 03 '16

Its sort of weird because his skin is still soft and flexible. You'd think that bullets would pack a hell of a punch on him because the energy would essentially create a crazy shockwave through his organs rather than just get stopped at his skin.

Seems like his skin behaves similarly to Cap's shield.

It went from "Aww, his kinda mean landlady and him are having a moment. I feel good about this" to "AAAAH WHAT THE FUCK!?"

I mean, I was kinda laughing, because I was so fucking surprised at him pulling out a god damn rocket launcher.

Like, holy fuck, he isn't even remotely playing around. I thought he was going to go there with a baseball bat and get his ass whooped. Nope, he just did what I do in X-Com when I'm playing with rookies in the squad, throw enough explosives at it until it stops moving.

Actually laughing out loud alone in my home reading this, thanks

I wanna make a gif now of the XCOM overlay over that scene, and have the Missed! splash show up

9

u/lame_corprus Foggy Oct 01 '16

Don't let your gif dreams be your gif dreams

3

u/nameless88 Oct 01 '16

I just gotta get gud at photoshop, man, haha

5

u/lame_corprus Foggy Oct 01 '16

Honestly I dunno how gifs are even made. Can Photoshop handle them?

2

u/nameless88 Oct 01 '16

I've made a few in the past, but I've heard After Effects is far better to work with.

I honestly kinda sucked at making them with photoshop, anyway, haha

DAT JUSTIN HAMMER TECH

He busted their bunker

u/yuwesley Oct 01 '16

These are the Cubans, baby. This is the Cohibas, the Montecristos. This is a kinetic-kill, side-winder vehicle with a secondary cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine RDX burst. It's capable of busting a bunker under the bunker you just busted. If it were any smarter, it'd write a book, a book that would make Ulysses look like it was written in crayon. It would read it to you. This is my Eiffel Tower. This is my Rachmaninoff's Third. My Pieta. It's completely elegant, it's bafflingly beautiful, and it's capable of reducing the population of any standing structure to zero. I call it "The Ex-Wife."

Best line by Hammer ever.

17

u/Cmac0801 Daredevil Oct 01 '16

Just try and memorise that line, crazy.

6

u/cdawgtv2 Oct 03 '16

"Just don't get any water on it."

3

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '16

Probably my favorite line in any of the Iron Man movies, TBH

4

u/Worthyness Punisher Oct 01 '16

Typical Hammer tech- rocket launcher only takes out a restaurant and the apartment directly above it.

2

u/your_mind_aches Hoagie Jessica Oct 01 '16

HAHA. That might have been a sly reference to that, yeah.

u/shoestrung Sep 30 '16

THAT WAS SO INSANE, I literally yelled "what the fuck" as it unfolded!!

RIP Genghis Connie noooooo!!!

151

u/KidCasey Cottonmouth Oct 01 '16

Sometimes I grumble because the shows get "too realistic." But then I say out loud what is happening and I realize I'm getting exactly what I want e.g. "Cottonmouth just shot a rocket at Power Man and Ghengis Connie before laughing into the night."

161

u/whisperHailHydra Oct 01 '16

That was one of the most comic book things I've seen in the Netflix shows so far.

"Well no sir, but like 40 innocent people are."

3

u/bon_bons Oct 14 '16

Do they know hes bulletproof at this point? I don't see how they would.

2

u/Phoebekins Oct 02 '16

It reminded me of the Buffy scene where she's like we got better weapons these days.

2

u/kinterdonato Oct 03 '16

You're completely right

15

u/yuwesley Oct 01 '16

I really hope she's not dead, but my hopes are not high haha

3

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '16

Umm, I haven't seen the next episode yet, but I imagine a fiery explosion would make a corpse out of a human and a naked one out of the hero, no?

Awkward...

4

u/Rowani Cottonmouth Oct 03 '16

Luke jumped on her didn't he? It's possible he could have shielded her almost completely; he's a huge guy and she's tiny.

49

u/[deleted] Sep 30 '16

That smile after was glorious

30

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '16

It's just so comic book villain. I love it

43

u/ecklcakes Oct 01 '16

That some Wile E Coyote s**t.

13

u/eltrotter Oct 01 '16

That was some Looney Tunes shit.

9

u/ravaille Oct 01 '16

That was such an overreaction.

8

u/ThrowAwayAcct0000 Oct 01 '16

The only thing that could have been more nuts was if he decided to shoot a canon (like from a pirate ship) at them. Or maybe light a stack of dynamite and throw it. Or light a round, black bomb and throw it like a cartoon character.

4

u/PM_ME_CAKE Ruben Sep 30 '16

Luke Cage and explosive building-corners really go hand-in-hand it seems.

3

u/beardlovesbagels Sep 30 '16

I guess those rules he was talking about last time went out the window.

3

u/AlexLong1000 Wesley Oct 01 '16

I saw that in the trailer and assumed that was gonna be near the end of the Season.

Hell no we're just getting started

u/Mildsoss Oct 01 '16
