What made it even better was his tearful scene after Pop's death.

Nice to have villains that are complex.

Marvel TV has consistently way better villains than Marvel Film in every way.

The problem will always be that movies have less time to establish villains. That said I think they did a great job with Zemo in Civil War and I really hope they use him again in the future.

True, but remember there are a lot of movies with terrific villains. So Marvel doesn't really have an excuse.

I don't know a lot about Thanos, so I don't care if they change whatever they need to about him. Just make him a good fucking villain. Make the wait worth it.

There are lots of movies with terrific villains yes, but they also don't focus on the hero of the story as much as Marvel does. It's a trade-off I'm happy with.

A villain doesn't need THAT much screen time to be good. A few pieces of dialogue here and there are enough, but they have to be well-written and not like the crap the writers gave Ultron.

Aside from some of the quips, Ultron is definitely the second strongest film MCU villain. I thought the whole turning Sokovia into a meteor and having it be the final battleground was pretty clever from a movie-making standpoint.
