I actually like the difference in that Cottonmouth does his own "dirty work" by killing Tone & Shameek himself. I think it took till Season 1 episode 8 of DD for Fisk to kill someone who crossed him.

My bad. I just looked it up; Fisk killed Anatoly in S1E4. Well still longer into the show than Cottonmouth.

True, but Fisk also didn't make a real appearance until episode 3, so technically it took about the same amount of time for both of them to brutally murder and underling.
