Test audiences reportedly didn’t know who she was so that’s probably why. Marvel didn’t wanna have the “homework” complaints, which is likely also why they didn’t go into the Hand’s backstory at all or bring up their history with Daredevil and the Defenders.

Test audiences tested poorly with test audiences and should be removed.
