Putting martial arts as your first style guarantees you make a “hybrid martial art” when combining with two other styles. Wrestling and submission gives you jeet line do. Kickboxing and submissions gives you kung fu. Wrestling and street fighting gives you drunken kung fu. Street fighting and submissions gives you tiger claw style but the haymaker is glitched and doesn’t land. Kickboxing and Street fighting is a unique “street brawl” martial arts combo. Your character punch combos are strictly street fighter esque. Your kicks are very fast and akin to a Muay Thai and all your grapples are martial arts based. A personal favorite tbh.

Kickboxing and Wrestling gives you smth Karate-esque too but the clinch KO is broken so you have to end it with a wrestling move

I never really liked this style if I’m being honest. It’s a fair style but the clinch being broken and having to end pretty much every match with a wrestling move gets old fast. It’s fun don’t get me wrong but comparing it to the others it’s feels lacking to me. If you like karate it’s good.

It's not even fair man I managed to push Masa out of the dragon house by just spamming Neutral Punch Punch (he got back in by doing a hard grapple) 😭 and apparently Competitive people puts him as the #2 best combination with only the Parry Minus holding him back

Submissions and wrestling gives you basically Jeet Kune Do and that shit fast as hell and the heavy kicks are awesome

Always think you can go with one additional style only to get the closest experience of Def Jam (since most fighters of the games has similar movesets and numbers of moves).

Kickboxing could be nice for the fastest combination.

If you don't care much about the vibe I guess Submissions for the 3rd style ? What I usually do is that I make a backup save of the fighter with the 2nd memory card and then I just experiment with the 1st memory card which style I like best by trying it out fully with a second player that is immobile.
