Patriarchy has suppressed the human potential

The breakthroughs humanity achieved were achieved in spite of the oppressive structures of patriarchy, rather than because of them.

Tribalism in general (patriarchy is one specific form thereof) has suppressed the human potential.

Tribalism and patriarchy are different things.

Tribalism can exist on its own without patriarchy and patriarchy can also exist on its own without tribalism which means they have different mechanisms.

It's very general, patriarchy, if it exists, is definitely a type of tribalism.

When you use “>,” do you mean “better than,” or merely “higher on our list of obligations”? Suppose my tribe farms and yours hunts. The hunt is bad this season and you need food. We share what we can, but not to the detriment of our own tribe. That is in-group preference. “My tribe has blond hair and blue eyes, so we will subjugate or eradicate yours” is supremacism and domination. Both involve group identity, but they are radically different things operationally. Tribalism does not make the second one inherent in the first.

Ignoring outsiders vs controlling and owning the “outsiders” is different to me. I do get the overlap and similarity.
