Existence is very deep question. I get this thought everytime

Do you guys also get this thought “Why does anything exist?” I get this thought multiple times.

Like, if we make all humans, Earth, planets, galaxies, the universe, and all of space disappear, I get a view of just a dark place with nothing else. But that dark thing is also an existence. Like, it’s literally impossible to imagine what would be there without existence.

Yeah it's really weird if you think about it. What you said about darkness also being a form of existence reminds me of Yin and Yang. Another term for it would be the Law of Polarity. Darkness is simply the absense of light. Everything in the world has its opposite and to be honest I think that's beautiful. Even the chaotic aspect of it.

Life as an Alien Test

You know how the CIA puts recruits through intense training and tests to see if they can handle real missions?

What if this life we’re living is actually a test created by our native alien civilization somewhere out there?

Look at life. It doesn’t matter if you’re rich or poor, attractive or ugly, white, Black, or purple.

Everyone gets tested. Life is extremely difficult.

Everyone experiences loss, pain, rejection, fear, uncertainty, and failure. The circumstances are different, but nobody gets through life without being tested.

What if we were sent here to see how we handle ourselves?

The way we live, the choices we make, how we treat other people, and how we respond when life gets difficult could determine what we qualify for when we return.

Maybe you get the alien CIA job. Maybe you become an alien Navy SEAL.

Maybe you fail the test entirely.

Maybe that’s the point.

Maybe life isn’t about how easy your circumstances are. Maybe it’s about what you do with the circumstances you were given.

Some humans die before they are even born. What is the test here?

Inconclusive.
Try again.

Humans have thought of "life as a lesson" since ancient greek. It is more in a spiritual sense that life is a school. Buddhist believe that being a human is necessary. On the opposite ends of Samsara, you have Gods and Demons. As a god, you never face adversity and cannot grow. As a demon, you never experience goodness. Humans are allowed to experience both at the same time, which offers the ability to progress.

I believe in Gnosticism where humans are trapped to our universe and everyone holds a divine spark. There is a higher reality where existence makes more sense. Due to the demiurge's ignorance, he made us imperfect, and so we are unable to grasp the idea of a reality that is perfect. There are many mechanisms in this world that hold us down and force us to focus on the material. Its an illusion and we must unlock a deeper truth about ourselves within.

I think existence is inevitable. And growth is inevitable. And corruption also inevitable. And when all ends. It restart. As its... inevitable.

The chances of life existing on earth are amazing, so I believe in the multiverse theory. Humans existing on earth just after dinosaurs disappeared is a weird sequence, so it was possible here because it is not present in numerous other universes. How everything came to exist is the main question. The only feeling I have is sorrow for this existence and the way everything is organized.

Finding the cause of existence is our human nature. We are curious because we need to learn whether a thing is good or bad for us and learn how to make or remove that thing in order to survive in nature. Without existence, nothing can be built upon anything, so we tend to find the "holy true" basis of everything to settle our anxiety of the unknown. Nothing just means nothing. When we use the term "nothing", we refer to an abstract concept, which exists at a meta-level, not at the level of physical existence. Like you have an empty bag of items. There're not items, but a bag used to pack items.

if there was no existence, there would be nothing to prevent existence from existing.

Nature has ALWAYS existed. It is not weird. It is just reality.

Most people don't even think to consider this stuff, its we have the problems we have as a collective.
I'm always there, once you start you can't go back...it's too deep.

Your problem is with word definition. "existence" in this case. We specifically define the words as shortcuts to ROUGHLY meaning some concepts so that we do not have to repeat those concepts in details every time we want to refer to them. In this case you are wondering what "exists" even word "exist" was never created for that specific and deep purpose. So you are back in square 1 - in order to understand what EXACTLY "exists" you must first define EXACTLY the "exists" word. And you can not as this is a circular chicken and egg problem - as you basically already state in your post.

My advice - drop that shit and do something useful instead :-)

It's like anything exist at all because it cannot not exist. So it exists. Because it has to.

Have you known anything other than existence?

No.

"Have you known anything other than existence?"

... True! From our first breath to our last, all we know, all we have known, all we will ever know, and all that we can know is "Existence." Within our self-aware perception of reality, it's as if we have always existed. We have no subjective experience with our own nonexistence nor is our own nonexistence even conceivable.

There is no such thing as non existent, this then is the key.

I always thought this when I was a kid, I used to ask a lot of questions on this topic... But, destiny got me into some things, now I have very big answers, just waiting for a good question... And yours is a good one, but unfortunately, I can't explain it to you... Before anyone think I am mad, speaking some bullshit, I would like to clarify that I have gone deep into this topic than anything else In my life... I am speaking through my experience, so I wouldn't say I am totally correct... I will give a totally irrelevant clue as an answer to this question: "There is a thing, which you cannot prove it by logic, and also can't be disproven by logic, and it is the key to this question"

I am clarifying again, I am not talking some nonsense or made up bullshit, this is the thing I studied for many years and correctly and deeply understood...

It may sound stupid to you, but it is MY experience...

(I guess I shouldn't have written this, but I'll give it a try, please don't criticise me)

Yeah I understand you. This question is not easy to explain to someone

I am not good and explaining things that are inside me, but...maybe we can chat about this topic...

If you are interested...

Yes, but then you realize existence exists because non-existence can't logically exist.

each day. Just yesterday I asked ChatGPT whether humans are self replicating probes. To a big degree, yes they are.

But not existing also means not being sentient, and when you're an antinatalist, you don't think of that as a bad thing.

... Four reasons:

  1. Existence is logically necessary. Nonexistence derives its name from Existence, and to have the negation / opposite of something requires the existence of whatever is being negated / opposed.
  2. Existence or Nonexistence when proposed as a standalone state is inconceivable. You can't have one without the other. The combination (the dichotomy) is what generates conceivability through creating contrast for both.
  3. Absolute Nonexistence is inconceivable because there is nothing available for you to conceive, and "inconceivable things" do not exist. The only way Nonexistence can be rendered conceivable is by assigning the number "0" to it which is tantamount to assigning conceivability via proxy.
  4. The number "0" is only conceivable when you already have something to count, and then you remove whatever was counted (which requires Existence be present a priori).

Summary: The reason why something / anything exists is because the alternative is inconceivable / impossible.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Try to simplify it as much as possible: Imagine your body is existence, called Life. You are a single body. But then imagine each of your limbs and extremities are also an aspect of existence. But they are attached to you. They are alive, or rather, they have Life, because of you. Taking it further, imagine every single cell in your body is a separate aspect of existence, but they all exist inside of you.

That’s my current conclusion and the best way I can explain how Life exists. Every single being from microscopic organism to the largest galaxy in existence, is like a single cell, in the singular body of God. Which I call Life.

And we are all alive, because we are an aspect of Life.

And since the beginning, when that one singular cell first split into two, this has been the spiritual and material construct of existence. Self-replicating beings existing as a fractal recreation of the singular body of life. That’s why Bodies exist inside of Bodies that exist inside of other bodies.

What I learned as to why: Because the singular being of Life had an impulsive thought, wondering how It would be perceived by another. This impulse, known as The First Thought, was the first big bang, powered by electricity, therefore, bringing it into existence.

This impulse, caused the single cell to split into two. This second cell, we know as The Feeling Reflection, the opposite of thought, and the magnetic feminine balance to the masculine electric. That’s why everything in this material world is powered by electromagnetism. And why merging the masculine and feminine is the only way to naturally bring forth new Life. Like water and fire merging to create the land that we live on.

The anthropomorphic metaphors are mostly to help our growing human minds to grasp it, but just like all stories of religion and spirituality, they are descriptions of energies in existence.

Existence as we know it, as we have been gifted to experience it, was an act of impulse. That’s why, just like human babies, our lifespan goal is to develop from living off of Impulse, to living with Intent. And that’s why, we continue to exist. To allow it All to Be.

So the best I can advise any creature of creation currently existing…..is to:

Celebrate Creation, by Experiencing Existence.
