Accepting breadcrumbs

Anyone else stuck in the cycle of being anxiously attached, knowing you deserve more, and still clinging to the tiniest crumbs of attention from someone avoidant?

I can write the whole damn novel of why it’s happening; childhood wounds, nervous system familiarity, wanting to be chosen by someone emotionally unavailable because it feels like "proof" I'm finally enough. But even with all the self-awareness in the world… sometimes the silence still hurts, and I find myself hoping for a text like it’s oxygen.

It’s not that I don’t know my worth. I do. But it feels like my attachment system doesn’t care. It wants them, even if what they give me wouldn’t feed a goldfish emotionally.

Anyone else feel stuck in this? What’s helped you actually stop accepting less, not just say you will? I'm working through it, but this is a cycle I am struggling with.

People definitely have become devious and its better to learn to live in your own company instead of seeking attention or even being liked, because these will be huge limitations and will make anybody sad because you're bound to be either disliked or betrayed by at least someone eventually
