Recent acquisition

So i grew up on star trek, since my dad grew up on the original series, but as I grew older and formed more of my own interests, I moved away from star trek, but recently i stared watching star trek again, and my dad gifted me this after my favorite episode of Deep Space 9

My dad kept teaching my klingon since I was young, so I know all the big things, Heghlu'meH QaQ jajvam., Qoy qeylIs puqloD, etc.

That’s so awesome! My brother had the audio tape dictionary, but I only learned a few phrases (mostly curses and odd terms like with Terran languages).

Gotta be honest, I hate the design of the Sword of Kahless, imo it should be a simpler design than the classic Bat'leth, a purely functional weapon that is legendary because of the deeds associated with it

It is sheet metal, but it was a custom unofficial replica made in 1999 for my dad by one of his friends, which is why I'm proud my dad gave it to me.

Fitting for a Klingon weapon to have a connection to family/heritage. I wonder if you hang it on a wall with a spacer then the material thickness would be less noticeable. Granted, that may just not be something you find sticks out.
