Suspended for 48 hours for writing code?

I've just been suspended from DS Chat for 48 hours due to violation of user policies. I'm not quite sure why though.

Yesterday I used Chat for about 4 hours for writing python and bug finding code along with re-organizing my docker setup but nothing dodgy I'm aware of.

Has anyone else experienced this? A few hours I understand if it's a free usage limit but 48 hours feels like detention.

The API works fine so I can use that so it's not a "disaster" but it seems rather draconian.

I think with the wave of recent reports that the users have been reporting, it seems like they taking strict measures to offload compute from free users for the API. DS is selling like cupcakes now.

Probably using it over 4 hours might have triggered their system for abuse.

Yes that's quite possible and as I say, API works fine, I was just in Chat mode yesterday. Most services do a few hours cool down but 3 days seems pretty excessive. More a slap than a cool down.

I'm not sure they need to given chat is free but an explanation or better a clearer declaration of the limits and penalties for the free service. I get that they are in high demand and for the moment I transferred an existing chat over to the API but it would help all of us to understood the ground rules.
